Team building through traditional and rural skills

A tailor-made programme to inspire your team…

Good Team Spirit offer a range of traditional rural and sporting skills,
designed to increase your colleagues work ethic, whilst you relax and find time for reappraisal in this Cotswold ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ on the outskirts of the historic City of Bath.

You are welcome to host your own event at this unique venue, or let Good Team Spirit craft your group’s bespoke team building experience for you.

Our team building philosophy…

We specialise in teaching team building through traditional rural skills such as blacksmithing, wood-working and dry stone walling. These are not physically challenging or competitive activities; our emphasis is on all-inclusive task allocation, maximising colleagues’ focus on co-operation whatever their level of physical fitness.

All the facilities you need can be found within our AA 5-star-rated accommodation, River House, which comes with our Chef, a large hot tub, riverside gardens and private fishing – the perfect place to relax after a day exploring new ways of working together. We also have a separate classroom with presentation facilities.

Our emphasis is on creating a well-integrated workforce, with sustainable codes of practice, incorporating a respect for all levels and types of competence.

As part of your itinerary, there is an option to visit rural diversification projects and innovative small scale start-ups which illustrate good teamwork in unusual ways, as well as key locations in the UNESCO World Heritage designated City of Bath.

We loved our stay at River House for our team offsite the past two years in December. The venue is conveniently located in an idyllic rural location not far from Bath Spa station, and easily reachable from Bristol and Heathrow airports. The rooms are very comfortable and there are plenty of communal areas to hold workshops. The grounds are stunning and the rare breed animals very cute and entertaining. However, the best thing about the house is the warm welcome of the caretakers Richard and Penny, who also prepare the most delicious meals and have them served right when needed. We can’t recommend River House enough for your corporate retreat!
